About

The studio, since 2000.

Every era of Studio X has been about adopting the new tool early and shipping real work with it. Flash sites, then podcasts, then YouTube, then enterprise systems. Now agents.

Four eras

2000–2010

The video studio

Studio X Networks: multimedia, video, and web production in Vancouver for brands like Molson, Bacardi, and Nokia. Podcasting in 2005, YouTube in 2007 — early enough that "viral video" was still a pitch, not a category. 500+ productions, 50 million+ views, 100,000+ subscribers across channels including DJVIBE TV.

2009–2021

The enterprise years

The founder went inside enterprise IT: eight years at FortisBC building and migrating the systems a utility depends on, workflow automation at Onni Group, then Pembina Pipeline — leading integration tasks on the $4B Kinder Morgan Canada acquisition.

2021–2025

ERP, integration, and the PM chair

At UBC: business systems analysis and then project management on ERP and integration programs — Workday reporting, Appian applications, a MuleSoft document-generation service. Certified through the UBC Sauder Project Management Program.

2025–now

The AI-native studio

Studio X relaunched around a simple bet: a small studio can operate multiple real businesses if agents do the repetitive work and people keep the judgment calls. The result is XOS — and the ventures that run on it.

What we believe about AI

It's a tool. A very good one for drafting, analyzing, and repeating — and the wrong one for plenty of jobs that a script or a person does better. We automate work that used to take people-hours, and we can show the diff.

Every pipeline we run has a person holding the approve button. Our agents have never published a public word without a named human's sign-off, and we build client systems the same way.

The ventures today

Real businesses, operated by the studio, run on XOS.

The founder

Graham Robinson — developer, business systems analyst, then certified project manager. He runs the studio and personally takes a small number of embedded project-leadership contracts.

Track record and credentials

Past clients from the studio's media era include Molson, Bacardi, and Nokia. Heritage service lines — video production, podcasting, youth marketing — are retired; they live on in the work above and in the archive.
